Stories I wanted to understand.
Before I started making films with organisations, I spent years reporting and making documentaries in Australia and overseas. The subjects changed a lot. The job was usually the same: find the right person, ask better questions, get close enough to understand their world, and work out what the story was really about. I still make documentary work now.
